Nail Gun, Slider, Tri-Delts OH MY!

All morning I'm busy, busy, busy because my supervisor (the one with the voice like a nail gun) has practically moved into the top drawer of my desk for this new project I'm working on.

Oh she's just fascinated by my ideas, which means I really should just shut my trap and let her micro-manage this project to within an inch of its creative life. I am seething by lunchtime.

I finally shake her at lunch only to be annoyed by Slider. He skitters past my desk at Mach 2, refuses eye contact (good on ya!) and yet drops a press-release for some play on my desk. I snatch it off my desk, shake it loudly and drop it unceremoniously into the garbage can. He sees me do it. Take. A. Hint.

So I'm all edgy and freaked from Supervisor Von Nail Gun and the Slider. I decide to go to the ladies room to splash some cool water on my forehead. As I'm walking to the bathroom I'm practically trampled, trampled, y'all by the Nefarious Tri-Delts as they leave the bathroom. There's a frajillion of them and they all whiz at the same time. Anyway, I survive the rampage and get to the ladies room door.

I put my hand on the knob...

I turn the knob...

I start to pull it open...






THE DOORKNOB COMES OFF IN MY HAND!!!!

Can I just go home now?

No, I couldn't get into the bathroom!

I just walked back to my office with the doorknob in my hand and sheepishly handed it to my boss!

All I could think to say was 'We might need this later.'
