I second bayside nails.You can also try Bay Nails which is on Bell between 38th and 39th avenues, closer to 38th.

I go to Rainbow Nails on Francis Lewis in Whitestone-right across from Holy Cross High School. I use Lani-she's great and they are VERY cheap!

Headlines salon has a nail section. I've gotten my nails done there a few times and they were great. I also go there to get my eyebrows threaded.

I like Fancy Nails on 32nd Ave. & Frannie Lou (in that little shopping center) across from Ernesto's (not the one next to it). They have a manicure/pedicure special Mon-Wed for $13. & you even get a 1 minute massage. :)
