My nails grow super long naturally, so I'm just keeping them natural. In fact, I'm going to cut them down short and square. I'm lucky because I have a really long nail bed, so even when I have no tips my nails look long when polished.
I'm going to paint my nails and toenails the day before and hope for the best. I'm using Vamp by Chanel so I really can't afford chipping.

im getting perminent french tips!! its the only way i can assure they wont chip and will last me the honeymoon too!
I was going to get tips and then a few people said that it wasn't really me because i never have tips so now I feel like I just want my nails natural like I usually do. Is there like a gel or anything that might work?
well you can wrap your real nails in either silk wrap or get a uv gel manicure and its kind of like tips but not as harmful so it may stay and not chip .. also someone before was saying there is a place that has tips that fall off.. i dont remember let me see if I can find it for you
My friend told me they are called teenage tips and last about a week and usually high school girls get them for the prom and they only cost about $20. Does the UV gel look natural?
No those arent it.. here is the website to the salon that does them ...
I have had the gel manicure before its like gel and powder over your real nails (which Im sure you can extend to make a nail - not sure though) and honestly it depends on the person doing them.. once the girl did them so think I hated them and I took it off, but when they did it thin it looked natural.. either way. I havent had anything on my nails since high school so Im not used to it
When you had the get nails, were they easy to remove?
you had to soak them in accetone like acrylic, but I dont think it took as long as acrylic to remove
What makes me nervous is my honeymoon is 18 days long and I don;t want to have to worry about my nails while I'm there. Were your nails damaged after that?
honestly, they were brittle after that

Re: Nails
I think I'm just going to go with a manicure and buy the color so god forbid if there is a chip I can touch it up. I'm going to skip the french lessen the chances of chips. Thanks for al lof the help and input.

Re: Nails
I got the UV gel permanent french within the past 2 months or so...love it! Prior to them, I always had natural nails...they look very natural..not wide or long...I tell them VERY short and they are exactly what my nails looked like before but minus the polish chipping and nails constantly breaking. They last over 2 weeks and the sides don't come up or detach from your nail at all for me at least. I get more compliments on my nails lately more than ever. I was just nervouse about polish chipping on the day and for my honeymoon too.
