Nails Nails Nails!!

I never get my nails done so I am totally clueless. I was originally planning on getting a regular french manicure. But my nails are actually splitting on two of my fingers. Can I still get the manicure on top of the split nails? I was thinking of doing acrylics instead but I got them done in high school and I thought it looked unnatural. My friend suggested gel and I read some stuff on google about silk wraps....Needless to say, now I'm just confused so can someone just tell me what to do.

If you want French, I highly recommend LCN....only certain salons do it....it's gel-based and looks gorgeous!

I have acrylics and have since HS. If you have the girl make them short and give them rounded edges, they look natural. I get compliments ALL the time on my nails and people are shocked when they find out they aren't real. If you're in suffolk, check out Aurora Nails in West Islip and ask for Nicole. She's awesome.

I usually recommend gel manicures, but if your nails are split you shouldn't get it. I would suggest silk wraps. I've had all the above nails at some point in my life and silk wraps were def better for when my nails were weaker. They also can make them look more natural than acrylics IMO.

Nails Nails Nails!! - Long Island Weddings

To Budget Bride, wedding is on Sunday so its probably too late to coordinate anything now but I appreciate the help.

I stopped by the nail salon and asked them about silk wraps and the guy was telling me to do the UV gel thing.... But based on what you guys are saying this is a no go since my nails are splitting. This makes me a little skeptical because it's pricier than silk wraps so I don't know if he has my best interest. Is UV gel different than the gel you all are suggesting?

Also, my nails are splitting even more now. I'm trying to clean the house before my rehearsal party. FH is on his own when I get my nails done in the morning tomorrow. Lol
