nails- permanent french?

so i keep hearing about permanent french and how i should get them done for my wedding... anyone get this done?? and is there a difference between the acrylic permanent french tips and the UV permanent french?? TIA

i got the LCN - uv permanent, because i heard they lasted cose to a month

well at 3.5 weeks later, with lots of fun water sports and adventures on our HM they are still in good shape!

I Have permanent french (forever french). difference between forever french and normal tips is that the forever french is a white tip, the acrylic is white, where a normal tip is painted white.
I'd take a pic of my nails and show you, but right now I have purple paint covering the white because I went out this weekend and decided to go crazy!
with forever french you can paint any color over it, when you take off that color, your nails are french manicure. its a little more $$, but totally worth it!

i got the UV gel permanent french done and it looked great. i didnt use tips, they just put the gel on my real nails. i thought it was supposed to last a while, but they were so crappy by the time I got back from the honeymoon. I took them off immediately after I got home.

they did look great for the wedding though.

so do they put fake nails on your real nails? I want to get a perm french since I'm not use to tips and I want my manicure to last way beyond my hm...without having it chipped...thoughts?

they dont have to use tips, they can build off your own nail, but it takes a little longer to set. its hard to explain. maybe next time i break a nail i'll video her fixing it.

how do you get the gel off? do you have to file it down? my nails have always been natural, so i'm not looking for anything fake, but want a longer lasting manicure.

I have the UV gel .. theyre great. I keep them really short but they last a long time. You dont get tips, they use gel right on your natural nail .. first they use this white stuff just on the tips .. then they use the clear/pink gel over the whole thing. They file, put some overcoat on for shine then you put your hand into the UV machine. To remove they simply file it off when you want it back to your natural nail.

Its very hard .. eventually they will start to lift at the base and you CAN take them off but they'll rip your nail bed .. Ive done it - it hurts! But you can file them yourself if you have a good file. Id rather just have the nail place do it so I dont ruin my own nails ya know?
