Re: NAILSSSSSSSSSS
i used to LOVE it.
honestly, i would suggest doing it 1 or 2 times in a row, then giving your nails a break.
i LOVEd the UV gels so much that i kept doing them for about 3-4 months straight. and then i had to take them off. my nails FELT weak (even w the gel) they were just so tender to the TOUCH.
when i finally did the soak off to remove them. OMG. my nails were in badddd shape!! it has been 2 months and my nails are just about starting to look healthier
really - the uv is awesome - but i wouldnt recommend doing them for longer than 1 month or so without giving your nails a break

ITA - LOVE the uv for special occasions, vacations, etc. But, my nails were DEFINITELY weaker after I took the gel off.

Re: NAILSSSSSSSSSS
I did the uv religiously for 3 months and it totally ruined my nails. They kept breaking really low and they felt paper thin. I was planning on doing the gel for the wedding but my nails were ruined by that point. I ended up getting a silk wrap and still have that on. Wonder what my nails are like underneath...

Yeah -mine didn't have tips either, just gel. But the gel is so difficult to get off of your nails that you have to really soak it in nail polish remover (or whatever it is that they use) that it seems as though it removes the top layer of your nail. At least that's what happens to me every time I get the gel.

yup!! same here. and each person that 'removes' it after the soak has a different method. in the months i was doing it, i saw alot. some used their nail, others this nail scraper thing
its supposed to be gentle, and the longer you soak the better it is. but it will stick take off some of your nail
but its no big deal, when you do the UV gel again. you have no idea, cuz your nails look/feel great....
the issue comes at about the 4time you go...and it just gets worse from there

I loved the UV gel...but when I stopped getting them my nails were awful. They were paper thin and breaking. They're finally starting to go back to normal.

It does ruin your nails after a while.

I have been wanting to try it out...I was afraid that it would make my nails weak...

Re: NAILSSSSSSSSSS
i looooove the gel!
as long as you soak it off and dont allow them to file it off it shouldn't ruin your nails
i suggest filing the polish a little bit before you soak, it really helps get the polish off quicker...the polish should basically flake off without any difficulty after soaking
do not let the salon use that electric buffer or attempt to pick and pry at the polish!
also, if you wrap each nail in foil and a cotton ball that also speeds the soaking process
otherwise i love it, the polish stays perfect for 2-3 weeks
