Name Change

It is not as bad as it sounds. There is a website-www.angelfire.com/ma/dnsassoc which gives you free info and lets you download a lot of the forms for free. It is pretty informative. You need a copy of your marriage certificate to change your name on your bank accounts, passport, license and ss card, but can mail it in most cases and they will return it to you except the DMV-you must apply in person. As for credit cards and bills they will usually do a name change over the phone no problem.

Absolutely! Most of my customers go through what you are and might throw the bouquet + not the garter or not throw anything. Very few (in MY experience, not everyone's) throw both anymore. You can definitely do EXACTLY as you want to fit your personality and what feels right to you. (This posting is not meant to offend anyone. It is only my experience.)
