does anyone know if fh and i can take my mother's maiden name as our last name? i know we can combine both of our last name letters but we would like to take her name.

well i was reading in the laws of marriage that if you and fh don't want to take his name, you can combine the letters of your two last names to make a new one legally at the time of signing the license. we think we might have to do that but i was wondering if anyone knew of taking the surname of your mother.
