Name Change

Do you have to go to the court and request a name change after your married? Or do you just have to go to the SS office.

Just answered you on the 07 Board.

Basically when you file for your marriage license you decide if you want to change your name. Once your license is approved and submitted to the city your name is officially changed. You then have to go to the SS office to change with them.
