name change with DMV?

Can anyone tell me how I do this? Is it hard? I have instructions for changing name with Social Security.

I just went to get a new license because I lost my wallet
I asked about changing my name after I'm married. I was told to come in with my marriage certificate and be prepared to take a new picture (must) and that was it.

She made it seem like it would be super easy.

I did not do it yet, however I think you have to fill out a form and take a new picture and bring your marriage certificate with you. I have the info at home so I will let you know when I get home from work tonight.

Yes, it is very easy, one of my best friends just got her name changed after her wedding and I was with her, we were at the DMV for about 15 minutes, I was in shock, we were out of there so quick. You just need your marriage certificate, and old license. HTH

Yep! Just bring your old license and marriage certificate and fill out this form:

If you have to change your name on a title or registration, you need to bring the old ones in as well along with this form:

For the ladies that changed their name on your car registration did you have a new insurance card with your new name when you went to the dmv?

No, I called the insurance company after I changed the registration. They changed it for me on the phone and emailed me new cards that night.
