Name Plaques

Do any of you plan on purchasing a family name plaque? I am trying to customize it the right way but am struggling with colors. Do I coordinate the colors to the wedding or my apartment? I don't want to purchase it and then can't display it again because it won't match.. Yikes. What to do, what to do

Re: Name Plaques

Our apartment has a lot of red accents and our wedding is white and silver mostly. We were thinking of doing white background with silver and black font but also adding icy blue snowflakes on it too.

I want to do the Silver background with the darker grey font for the last name and black for our first names.

I think yours would go very nicely in an apartment with red accents!

I'm definitely going to do one also. I plan on matching the colors to my wedding (most likely white, black, silver and one brighter color that I haven't chose yet). I think the plaques look great!

Hmm I was thinking the same thing..
I think I'm gonna do neutral colors so I can put it in my house after wedding.. My wedding colors are pink and white and I wouldn't want those colors displayed in my house

I'm using chocolate brown and rust as my colors. I plan on using those for our name plaque. We don't live together yet, but for some reason a lot of towels, plates and other things we put on our registry are chocolate brown. We'll definitely have the brown in there and probably a creme color.

Re: Name Plaques

I am so frustrated. I have no idea what to do. I absolutely love the idea of getting the plaque to match our wedding, whites, silver and snowflakes but then I am worried it is going to be too wintery in our house but then I kind of like the idea of it being wintery since that captures our wedding..

Re: Name Plaques

I would stick with the colors to match your wedding. You're getting married in the winter, and with those colors I think it will look nice all year round!! We just ordered ours...we matched it to our wedding colors.

I tried to upload a picture of ours to show you but I can't figure out how to add pictures?

I really really want one and I thought FH would say 'no way!' but he wants one too. He even said 'I think we should hang it above the front door!' so I guess he's on board We're going to have it match our decor at home so we'll be doing neutral colors.
