Re: NAMES OF TABLES
We did Vegas table names, since we love to go to vegas on vacation. So I put the table name, names number, and then attached a post card to the sheet of cardstock.
I was originally going to put places we have been on vacation but we went to vegas 3 times, disney 3 times and a cruise, and that wasn't going to cut it with 3 table names.

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
My friend got engaged in Paris (on the Eiffel Tower), so her tables were Parisian street names.
ETS: They also had a 5' ice sculpture of the Eiffel Tower in their cocktail hour.

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
I named types of roses, since roses were my centerpieces. My friend had done meaningful phrases like Trust Forever Love Passion Friendship Loyalty Cherish Adoration Affection love Romance you could list under fall trees if done if fall.

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
Well, since you are getting married in January, you can do something seasonal if you have a winter wonderland theme. You could do winter things with the snow theme like: Snowflake Snowball Snowshed Snowdrift Snowplow etc. (icicle, frost, reindeer...)
Or even famous ski or snow spots: Vale Switzerland Vancouver Siberia Antarctica !!!!!
Lots of choices and I like a lot of the ones listed here as well!!!

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
I love that idea, dustaoglu!!! We had been trying to come up with a theme, but couldn't pick anything. We are having all roses as our flower arrangements, too. I hope you don't mind me stealing your idea, but I will ask FH if he would like something like that. Thanks!

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
This probably won't work too well with a wintery wedding, but I'm doing an afternoon summer theme with pink as my main color and, because I'm a kid at heart, wanted to keep things very youthful and carefree. I was thinking of naming tables after things that are pink and kid-like. So far, I'm thinking:
We did Vegas table names, since we love to go to vegas on vacation. So I put the table name, names number, and then attached a post card to the sheet of cardstock.
I really loved this at Michelle's wedding...it was really a big hit too!!

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
I also LOVE the idea of using the word 'LOVE' of the phrase 'I LOVE YOU' in different languages. That's awesome! :o)

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
I worked a few weddings where the B&G came up with interesting names...here are a few....
1. Romantic movies (ie. The Princess Bride, Still Breathing, Notting Hill...etc) 2. Mountains (ie. Mt Ranier, Mt St. Helens. Etc) 3. Streets named for 'love' (ie, Passion Way, Commitment Drive, Lovers Lane For the B&G table.) 4. Favorite Vacations spots (pretty self explanatory) 5. Castles in Europe (Leeds, Edinburgh, Windsor)
We are having all names of 40's movies for our 40's themed wedding.

Re: NAMES OF TABLES
Just had to share...
FI and I are both microbiologists, so he wants to name the tables after different bacteria and viruses. Yep, he's serious.
Um...hello? Mr. and Mrs. Smith, you are at the tuberculosis table - enjoy thinking about persistent, bloody coughing all night!
