Does anyone know how to do go about naming the tables (rather than #s)? Do you just get cards calligraphied with the names?
We're naming the tables after Fire Island towns (where we met) and I wanted to do something creative but dont know where to go or what to do. Any ideas?
The second page of that link has some great examples.

Re: Naming Tables
If you are going with a beach theme you can get seashells and paint the names on them.

Re: Naming Tables
You can probably just do it yourself. Go to Staples and get a nice 'card' stock paper. Type everything out in Microsoft Word (or some other program) and then print them on a laser printer.
My FH and I might name our tables after Italian and Irish cities since he's Irish and I'm Italian.
I'm thinking I might still keep a small number in the bottom right corner just to help me keep organized in terms of layout, but the large print will be the city names.
PS I saw that sight too, but I think we're going to use it to print out vows on nice certificate parchment paper. Although they might be a little expensive.
Anyway, its a great idea and will help customize your wedding. Good luck!!

Re: Naming Tables
We are doing different locations that we have visited and taken pics at. I love to take field trips so the tables will be a trip down memory lane fo our six year relationship. Our table names will be things like... Fire Island, Greenwich Village, China Town, The Bronx Zoo, Central Park, Montauk, etc. The pics are in the background and the words are written over it. I think is will be a lot of fun becasue the pics start when we were friends and I was 16. Almost 10 years ago.
