Naming Tables

Naming Tables

I'm thinking of naming my tables instead of numbering them - does anyone have any cute ideas? I went to a wedding once where the tables were named things like 'Blockbuster' (since they rented movies often), and 'Love letters' etc. It was fun to read all of them.

you could always name the tables after the guests that are sitting at them. little inside jokes that those people would get. maybe college friends would get a table named after a favorite bar or sorority. good luck

FH and I go away together a lot so we're going to name the tables after places we've traveled, and even places around here that we visit often.

What we're going to try and do I think is name each table after something special to the people at the table. Like my college friends are going to be named Sheehan, b/c that was the name of our dorm, and my immediate family is going to be the name of our hometown, and we found pictures to go with each to put in a frame.

i like that idea. i went to a wedding in december once, and they named the tables after christmas themes, like Frosty the snowman, rudolph the red nose reindeer. They also named x-mas songs, like Silent Night, Jingle bell rock, etc.. it was so creative..

I'm gonna name my tables by our favorite love songs, since my fiance and i love music..

This was something I didnt eventhink about!!! And though-Im sure it isnt a big deal if I # my tables-I think it would be really cute if I named them!
Ugh another thing to add to the list of things to decide on!

i saw two different ways to do table names....i saw a bride who named her table after all tropical/beach things (since that was their theme) like 'tiki lounge' or 'Mai Tai'

another thing i saw, was still having the numbers...BUT on either side of the table card they put a picture of the bride and groom on either side...in accordance with their age to the table number. for example...at the Table 1 card...hanging on either side on an angle was an 8x10 of the couple either when they were 1 yrs. old (with a little note saying 'Us at 1 yrs. old) and then they did the same with them at 2 yrs. old for Table 2 and so on and so forth. i thought that was cute.
