Nancy Reagan

She is just sooooo elegant! I just can't bear watching her look so sad...especially when she goes up to the coffin

I was just thinking the same thing. She is on the cover of Newsday. I was just telling my Fh that she looks so sad and then I told him that he better not die before me...

Re: Nancy Reagan

I feel terribly for her, she cared for Ron for so long and she seemed really devoted to him.

I agree, but also think that there is a small sense of relief . . .Although her best friend is physically gone from the earth, she has been w/out him for close to 10 years (mentally). She is so elegant . . .

I cant even watch the funeral footage for that reason, I feel so horrible as her grief is just written so clearly all over her face, its so very sad!

Re: Nancy Reagan

I feel the same way. I was watching the funeral before and tears were coming down my face when they were showing Nancy Reagan. I feel so bad for her. I really admire her courage and strength as she watched the love of her life slowly slip away from her over the past 10 years. I can't even imagine what that must have been like for her.

I was hysterical when she went up to the coffin. They had the kind of relationship that every couple dreams of. God Bless Her!!

Ronald Reagan was my fave president.

I think the relationship b/w Nancy and Ron was a wonderful one.....he led a full, great life so his passing isnt that tragic...in a way its good to see him out of his suffering. The biggest sadness yesterday was watching Nancy say goodbye to him. She stood by him always - she is a classy lady.

Ditto ... I started watching it but just couldn't bear to see the pain and saddness in her eyes. She is obviously devastated, and even though obviously she hasn't had him truly 'with her' for quite some time, it doesn't make actually losing him any easier.

She always held herself with dignity and class, and this is no exception. She is truly the epitome of a first-class 'first lady'

The footage of her running her hand over his casket and laying her head on it just ripped my heart out. We should all be so lucky to have such a long and loving marriage.

When she did that I lost it. It was so sad She looked the worst yesterday when she was wearing those huge black glasses. She must be so upset and exhausted. If I was here I would just want to be alone right now
