Narrowing down the list

Narrowing down the list

I have to start making appointments for me and FH to go view venues. I was wondering if anyone had strong inclinations towards any of them to make sure to see or not see some of these places. Our budget is small and we're expecting 125 max. We'd like to have ceremony on site and possibly have the wedding 2/26/11 but we're flexible. I'd love to hear some opinions.

Mill Pond (Medford)

Danfords (Port Jeff)

Hilton Long Island / Huntington (Melville)

Vina de Villa (Medford)

Med Manor (Patchogue)

Beach Club Estate or Windows on the Lake (Lake Ronkokoma)

Chateau (Carle Place)

Somerley at Fox Hollow

The Meadow Club (Port Jeff)

Thank you!!!!

I've been to the Chateau Briand and Fox Hollow - both are gorgeous!

Fox Hollow and Danfords are both beautiful! The food at Danfords is AMAZING!

Windows on the Lake to be honest I was extremely turned off by their customer service.

Danfords, Fox Hollow, and Chateau Briand are the top of the list. I love Danford's and Port Jeff would give you some amazing photo ops! IMO, Mediterranean Manor isn't worth the trip.

we almost went with Chateau. We loved the cocktail hour room, how easy it is for guests to get too, and how handicap accessible they are. I also LOVED the outdoor ceremony space, but like me you are a winter bride. I wasn't crazy with the indoor ceremony space and I didn't want to take the chance. HTH. good luck!

Of your list I've only been to Hilton Melville, Chateau, and Somerley

Hilton Melville is very pretty even though it is a hotel. They have nice chandeliers in the ballroom which is think is a great touch, because hotel ballrooms dont usually have ornate looking things. i don't know anything about the food because i was there for a corporate cocktail party, not a sitdown dinner

Chateau is great - i've been there for 3 weddings, a prom and 2 law school formals. Consistently great service and food. Classic LI wedding hall

Somerley - my shower was just there this past saturday. there are pics in my album. food was excellent, service was great, the bridal suite is AMAZING! (they let me use it). only thing is that there is a one person bathroom off of the room and i think that's the only bathroom for your guests to use. can't go wrong though - service was above and beyond! my shower had 60 guests so i think maxing the room out at 125 would be perfect

HTH

My top favorite ones were fox hollow and chateau briand. i picked fox hollow because it was more romanitc, better priced and great food. the BM was much nicer as well. if you are doing a winter wedding i say fox hollow is great for all seasons because it beautiful in and out. chateau briand is more known for their modern miami looking outdoor space in my opinion
