Do I need my birth certificate or is a passport ok. My FH & I just decided to go tomorrow at the last minute & my mom has my birth certificate in teh safe deposit box & it is more of a hassle then it is is worth if I don't need it.

a passport is just as good as a birth certificate

You should call the office. Originally we were going to the Oyster bay town hall but they require a birth certificate and FH has no clue where his is. So we went to the Babylon office because they accept a passport and license. I don't know what the heck the difference is but for some reason Oyster bay would not accept a passport. Good luck
