Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue needed, which is inexpensive ($50 per plate and under) Site fee included. Even if i could rent the place and bring in my own food. That would help. But the ambiance needs to be right.
I would like an outside venue with indoor capabilities. Garden, Beach, Park, Arboretum something like that.
Are there any ideas out there, would be greatly appreciated!
FYI, I have been unemployed since November and still havent found a new job, so i need to find the best deal possible that wont break my fiance's finances. we live in separate households and he pays for the bills in both.
PLEASE HELP!!

Try Verdis of Westbury...I hear they are pretty reasonable. I dont know exact pricing but if you are flexible with having an afternoon wedding and a Sunday, maybe you can can a great deal. I dont know if they definatley have an outside reception area but it looks like from pictures that they do have some type of outside area. Check them out. I know that Verdis of Whitestone has good food, been around for a long time and does very nice events and they have the same owners.
Here is the website. Good luck and let me know what happens!
I thought maybe Westbury since they are not thattt far from Suffolk

I agree about the all-inclusive package. Try Manor East, Ariana Waterfall, or Holiday Inn in Plainview. They all were nice with packages. Very affordable.

Re: Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue
You can either check out Ariana Waterfall or check around for halls and use Ariana Studios for everything else photo, video, limo, flowers, tux, for like 5100 but if u want the platinum package which includes photo montage and alot more and they even have packages that include the hall about 16k total...and you can have alot of options with that hall. It is a one stop shop....kinda cool check them out

Re: Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue
What about Smithtown Landing? It's on a golf course and more than reasonable. I think it was like $60 a person. With tax and service charge it came to $76 a person and that was including the site fee. My fiance and I wanted water, but the place was definitely a good value.
A lot of prices are lowering their prices because people are spending as much as they used to on weddings. The place that I'm getting married, a couple of years ago I wouldn't have been able to afford. So if you have a place in mind, don't hesitate to at least go and talk with them. It might be much cheaper than you think.
Good luck!

Re: Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue
Here's the thing, I believe BCC was approximately $65 per plate for me in January 2008 but it included everything (food, liquor, flowers, limo, photo, video, cake, dj, etc). I went to the Memorare Club in Seaford (Seaford Knights of Columbus) and they quoted me approximately $55 per person no matter what time of year it was (in 2007) but it only included the food, cake and floral centerpieces. You may want to check that out considering the time of year. My friend's wedding there was great, the people are nice, and the place is beautiful. Let me know if you need any info on BCC, I HIGHLY recommend them!! Good luck!
ETA: You can swap out vendors if you find a better price for a photographer for example or prefer a different vendor as well (which I had to do for a few vendors) and they will deduct a certain amount from your bill.
