Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue

Original post by keeshagurl

Nassau/Suffolk County Wedding venue needed, which is inexpensive ($50 per plate and under) Site fee included. Even if i could rent the place and bring in my own food. That would help. But the ambiance needs to be right.

I would like an outside venue with indoor capabilities. Garden, Beach, Park, Arboretum something like that.

Are there any ideas out there, would be greatly appreciated!

FYI,
I have been unemployed since November and still havent found a new job, so i need to find the best deal possible that wont break my fiance's finances. we live in separate households and he pays for the bills in both.

PLEASE HELP!!

How many guest are you having? The Douglaston Manor, although I hear can be $95pp has something on their website about $8995 wedding pkg. I don't know about it, but they are having a bridal showcase tonight. You can check them out. Windows on the Lake is having a showcase on 3/27... they offer a pkg for $10k / 100 ppl as well as their 2nd site Beach Club Estate. I am planning on checking them out next week.

Let us know how your search is going... I still haven't found a place yet.

Good Luck!

Try Lessings.com. They are having a 'Recession Special' right now. If you book a 2009 date, they will give you a good discount. Some of their properties are pricey, but the West Sayville Country Club and Timber Point are both nice and more affordable (around $59 pp for a Sunday wedding). Cake is even included, which is nice.

My fiance and I just booked a reception hall and our wedding is in 6 months. I've found that planning a wedding fast can save money (at least on the hall... not sure about all the other stuff yet!) because they want to fill any empty dates that are rapidly approaching. If you're flexible and can get married fast, it might get you a deal!

Good luck and congrats.

brentwood country club is nice... but the cocktail hour room is really small.
I'm a verdi's bride. I don't think it's what you're looking for. There is no outside space.
Same with manor east and the meadow club

I had my eparty at the hibernian hall in babylon. for a formal sit down dinner it comes out to about $35.00/pp plus open bar.

Honestly...renting all of that stuff gets to be very expensive. You should talk to the venue to see if you can get a discount through them

The venue is his Sisters house. Shehas a very very large yard in east Patch

So i doubt she will be able to strike any deals...
