'natural' looking bouquets

'natural' looking bouquets

Hi everyone. I am trying to get some photos together so I can give the florist an idea of the bouquet I like. I am looking for something long stemmed and natural. i don't really like those neat little circular bouquets, and I want something that looks more like I just came from picking flowers.

I don't really know which flowers I want yet. Any photos you have of more natural and wild looking bouquets would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks!

Gerbera daisy, safari sunset, and thistle BM bouquet. Easily dressed up with two or three calla lily or rose stems, maybe some burgundy sunflower.

If you don't want a little round bouquet, try an arm bouquet. It lays naturally and t won't look pageant-y, I promise.

The ones in the top photo are nice. I would maybe add a touch of purple and get rid of the bow. Thanks.

Any more ideas?

that's exactly the look i'm going for--rustic and gathered-from-the-garden. check out some of the picks in my album. there's one bo-k in particular that comes to mind. good luck, and i'd love to hear what you end up with

I found a British wedding magazine to be VERY helpful when trying to figure out my flowers.

Wedding Flowers Magazine

It is available at most Barnes & Nobel bookstores.

You know, I think the best way to achieve this is not so much about construct as about using local, in-season flowers. Whatever those flowers are will look natural because it will 'feel' right for the season. My only other suggestion is to wrap the stem in bear grass, large leaves, twine/hemp, or green ribbon.

I'm having a combination style of the teardrop/cascade bok with trailing ivy to help achieve this concept... I'm not a fan of the tight boks either..

I totally agree, using in season and local flowers makes sense and always looks fresh and right!

Use colors that are more muted, or that don't contrast eachother too much gives a very natural just pulled out of the ground look.

Make sure to tell your florist you want the boquet hand tied. I think it terms of structure, thats as much as you really want. You kind of want the flowers to bunch together the way they want.

Here are some thatI think that are 'natural' looking:
