Naughty or Nice?

Naughty or Nice?

Just wondering...................

When someone asks for your opinion regarding their hair trial, make-up or dress.....

How do you really feel....... as opposed to how you answer the question????

I have been waiting for someone to ask a question like this... Some of the girls really pick some crazy off the wall stuff and I always see 'you look beautiful' ' I love it'..... Thanks for asking...

I consider myself honest. But Im alway polite in saying it. If its something drastic I will try to post an alternative.

I believe in constructive critisism!

I am always honest. I have tried to be extra sensitive when it comes to someone's dress, or hair or makeup trials, though.

But the same goes for me. If I post something and ask opinions on if its pretty, I would hope that people will tell me if it's not. I can take it.

I mean, I would rather hear truthful negative criticism than untruthful positive reactions.

When there are polls I'm 100% honest. When I actually have to reply, I'm very careful not to insult anyone ro sometimes I won't respond. My mother always taught me, if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.

I completely agree. The polls are nice cuz it's anonymous, but other than that I try not to post things that aren't positive. There are some very thin skins out there, and it seems that almost any time something is posted in disagreement with someone else, a war is begun.

With polls I'm 100% truthful. But if it's something I have to post I usually only post if I like it or if there is something positive I can say. But if it's something that I just think is downright ugly I don't comment at all. No reason to hurt anyone's feelings especially if it's a gown or something like that.

I find myself to be very honest and direct. I prefer to give an honest opinon than one that is sugarcoated with lies. I'd try to post it in a way that helps the person whom is asking without hurting their feelings. There is really no need to hurt anyone. Life is the way it is because not everyone has the same tastes, preferences, etc. Therefore I'd answer it even though I personally do not like it or love it but I'd say something to that effect without hurting anyone. No need to do that. There is enough negativity out there. Why engaged in that? I also feel that you always have to take into consideration when someone is giving their two cents. I always look at the source and then decide from there. I will also probably try to provide information or a different perspective depending on what they are asking in a nice way, ofcourse!
I always think of 'It's Not what you said But How you said it'

If I don't have anything nice, I won't post it. We all don't have the same likes, so I avoid responding to posts like- Do you like my dress, shoes, etc.. if it's not my style.

If I cna give constructive citicism and/or it seems like the person is really unsure and wants opinions I will post and always be truthful. If a bride ahs alredy boguth her dress for example and I don't like it, I'll usually just not post.

If it was me (and it will be soon) I would want the dead honest opinions from everyone because I dont want to look like a fool. I personally can take the criticism but unfortunately I dont know too many people well enough on these boards to know how they would feel. I havent been responding to the ones I dont like. It is soo funny that you guys wrote that people say 'you look beautiful' and 'gorgeous' because I always say the same thing. I would prefer honesty.

I'm honest- I'd want someone to tell me if I looked like a clown!

I am very honest... 'blunt' would be the proper word... if I do not like something, and my opinion is asked, I will tell you straight out that I do not like it.

Me too......sometimes, TOO blunt..I've been known to get myself in trouble in the past (not on these boards, but in life). I feel that if the person wants a 'truthful' opinion, then that's what he/she will get. If it's just a difference in taste/style, then I won't comment, b/c I don't know about that particular style.....but on these boards, I've always been 100% honest.

I agree 100%- sometimes I see pics of dresses or other items here that people pick. On them it looks really nice. It may not necessarilty be my taste, but my stuff may not be thiers.
At the same time if it works for you....go for it.

To be honest - I have never seen a bride that didn't look beautiful- you're glowing, the makeup the hair etc.
