Anyone ever had an event at any of the restaurants on the nautical mile? We were thinking about having our wedding rehearsal luncheon down on the water. I am looking into Schooners, Mermaid, Hudson& McCoy or Rachels. Any suggestions or thoughts?? TIA

Re: Nautical Mile
I am thinking the same thing. We had my friends shower at EB Elliots (the first restaurant) and it was fantastic. It was so nice being on the water, the food was great, and it was a nice area.

EB Elliots is great and Schooner has great food, but kind of old looking. Hudson and McCoys does not have such great food.

Schooner is great! Rachel's is also good but has a more trendy feel. Depends on what you're looking for.

EB Elliots is great! That's where we got engaged...we were going to have our RD there but they were a little too pricey...we got a better deal and bigger selection at another place...not on the mile but in Freeport...Bedell's
Personal opinion on the Schooner....went down hill over the years....

we had dinner at EB Elliotts the night we got engaged!!! (he proposed further down the mile by the water on a dock). The food is delicious there!!!!
We were considering having our engagement party there, but it worked out better in Queens (where we live).

I thought it would be fun too but FH claims that parking will be a huge problem. I'm not from LI, he is so I have no idea if he is right or not. I think it's a good idea though, pretty view, good food...

I was supposed to have my sister's bridal shower here and the cancelled on me the week before the wedding! I had to scramble to find another place.
I suggest EB Elliot's. The food is good and they have great packages.
I ended up having my sister's shower at Fisherman's Catch, which is in Pt. Lookout. The food was excellent and the price incredible. The best thing was they totally saved me and made my sister's shower incredible with only 1 week to plan.

Re: Nautical Mile
EB Elliots has its own private parking lot across hte street.... my friends shower was the weekend of the festival (you can imagine how freaked out we were) but everyone parked in the lot and the guys who worked there brought the gifts from the guests car upstairs, and then they loaded everythig up for us.

I am majorly hinting to my sisters that I want my shower at EB Elliots! The food is so good and the atmosphere is great too!
Does anyone know if they do parties/showers outside by the palm trees??

One of my fav places on the mile. I grew up a 3 min ride from there and FH now lives about 2 mins from there! EB Elliots is great and I really like 42 Woodcleft (name of restaurant) It is really good there too!

Most of the restaurants down there have valet parking
