Re: ncl norwegian dawn
we went on the dawn too - the entertainment is really good especially the dance troup - the food is hit or miss - definately avoid the italian restaurant that you make reservations for - the food is tv dinner like there and so salty and over processed. definately go to cagney's and ask for Earl he is the best waiter on the ship and i tell you i think he reads minds - we never had to ask for a single thing - he just knew what we wanted any other questions feel free to FM me enjoy your cruise

Re: ncl norwegian dawn
I'd definitely check out cruisecritic.com (I lived on the boards b4 our cruises) & learned a lot of helpful info & read some wonderful reviews.
My FH & I did this trip last February. Overall we enjoyed it, yet it was a school vacation week & we had 900 kids on board so things like entertainment were keyed down.
The food was pretty good, a lot of 'fancy' dishes....with sauces and different combinations. We loved the steakhouse as well (worth the extra $). We also liked Bamboo(?) for the Bennihana style food.
We were tossed up over the freestyle dining. You kind of lose something when you aren't meeting the same people for dinner every night and chatting about excersions and such. Yet if you are traveling in a group, then that is fine. It has its perks (eating whenver you want).
The service was great, staff very friendly. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!!!
