I am torn about whether I can wear a necklace w. my dress. It has some beading around the neckline, but its strapless and when I tried it on without a necklace I felt it looked incomplete. I am wearing a tiara as well, and dont want to look like a giant disco ball Here is a pic of the dress:
What do you ladies think? I am thinking something very simple. Thanks!

Is your tiara very noticeable...meaning does it have any height or is it very sparkly?
Also, what kind of veil are you wearing? Waterfall or behind your head?

I was thinking some thing simple too... sort of like those pendants that have three diamonds in a row going straight down. I don't remember what they are called today torrow forever or something.
It's a beautiful gown!!

A simple sting of peals would look beautiful. I don't suggest using diamonds or rinestones. To flashy like you said about the disco ball. Def go with Pearls if you want to complete the look with a necklace.

Love the dress! How about a diamond pendant on an 'invisible chain'

Thanks for the compliments! I love my dress, I was smiling just posting the pic. I am so cheesy
I dont have my tiara yet, we are going to C&H in 2 weeks to look there. I am planning on wearing my hair all back, w. a waterfall veil (2 layers, one cathedral and one fingertip or elbow length). Veil will be on top of my head, not in the back.
I was thinking exactly of those pendants on an invisible chain, esp the three going down too (dontknow what thats called either) I dont know if I should buy real or costume either. I was going to buy costume, but there is something so sweet about having a real diamond necklace that you wore on your wedding day. Everytime I would wear it afterwards, it would be so meaningful. But expensive

Something very simple!! solitare pearl or diamond maybe??? I just read yesterday that if you have a lot going on on the bodice to go simple on the jewerly and vice versa if plain bodice.
Edited to AGREE with Taraalissa!
BTW - Gorgeous gown!

Wait until you have your tiara to decide. I really wanted to wear a necklace, but with my tiara and waterfall veil...it just looks like too much, especially with the work on the top of the gown.
It all really depends upon where you want to draw attention. Once you have the outfit put together...you will know!

I am thinking NO necklace. With the concentration of beading on the top of the dress and at the waste you really don't need a necklace, especially if you are doing a tiara. Less is more!

If your tiara has a lot of sparkle, then I don't think you need a necklace. The tiara will complete the look

Tough call babe. I would have to say No necklace on this one. If you do have one definitely go for the invisible look but be careful b/c invisible sometimes translates to plastic and you don't want that. I think Swarvoski has an invisible line just for wedding dresses. Good luck!!!!

I would wear a single strand of pearls. If you chose to wear something else but pearls, I would keep it round and up high, away from the decor of the dress. I don't think the drop style pendant will work with this dress.

JMO, but I don't think hmichik's dress is the right look for pearls. The dress has beautiful silver beading and I don't think a strand of pearls is the right tone for that dress.

I totally agree. I can't see the beading clearly in this pic, but it looks like a simple diamond necklace would look much better with it than the pearls.

I'd wait until you picked out the headpiece because you may not need to wear a necklace at all. Very pretty gown

The dress does have very tiny pearls on the top, but I had tried a thin pearl necklace on with it and it did not seem to work. I am not used to wearing strapless though, and the dress is a bit low, and I feel naked without a necklace Karina, thanks for the tip, I will check out Swarovski to see what they have available. I really dont want to overdo it, as I dont usually wear sparkly things, FH is probably going to fall over from shock as it is.
The dress is a Diamond Bridal, I got it at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I love it love it love it it is really my dream dress

Your dress is absolutely gorgeous.....However, I would not put a necklace with it. I was told that generally, if your dress has beadwork, lace or any other 'extra's' close to the neckline AND you are wearing a tiara, NOT to wear a necklace..... AT least that is what I was told....
But you have to 'feel' right - so I am sure whatever you decide will look great!
