We have an urge to go away this weekend...need some recommendations! Preferably somewhere that can be driven to and stay for 2-3 days.
Newport and the surrounding area is great - a LOT of fun and so pretty!

Take the ferry to CT, go to the aquarium, old mystic village, go down to the seaport and then at night you can hit up a restaurant/bar/lounge in Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods.
That's a great idea, but we've already been to CT a few times. Love it there though. V, you should totally go!
Hmm Im trying to think of other places but with it being a 4 day holiday weekend Im pretty sure places are going to be booked or their prices will be through the roof for the holiday.

we cant get 'quietness' in our rooms... So it will be hectic...
FH is insisting in taking me out... i dont wanna go but i think i need it.. I have too much stress lol...

The beaches aren't too close, about 45 minutes to an hour. We didn't go to the beach too often so I forget the name of the one we went to. But Watch Hill and Narragensett are popular beaches. If it comes to me I will let you know! I wouldn't recommend Providence if you are looking to mainly go to the beach. I would agree with Newport or even Cape Cod.
