anyone know a place that you can either walk in or make an appointment. marys is kind of out of the question because that can be hours of your day! thanks!

If you go to Mary's in the a.m. there shouldn't be a problem. They aren't too busy right now. I got there at 10 a.m. and was out before 11. I really can't even think of any other place that does what they did. You could try Georgette's on 107 in Bethpage, but they don't alter stuff there, I am not sure if they alter at all.

Georgette's dosnt do alterations on any of their merchandise. I know this b/c they send my mother all their customers. She is a dressmaker in Hicksville.

Another vote for Mary's. I've gone there twice, on Saturdays, but get there around 10 am, and even with 3 of us we were out in an hour.
