Hey Girls!! I have a wedding to attend in July and I'm having such a HARD time finding a dress. I mean, I just got married last year, and my friend is having it at a very nice place, but still, I wanna dress sexy for DH but also classy and elegant and not trashy [i dont dress that way to begin with]. Im in and out a stores, and I either don't like the dress, don't like the way it looks on me, or I don't like the material, or you know the infamous 'I look fat in this.' Where on earth can I go dress shopping and really try and find something on LI???

Have you tried Lord & Taylors?? I always seem to find something there.

yeah and know norstrom is pricey too...id rather not spend $500 on a dress, honestly.. actually, come to think of it, we have a wedding 1 month after my friends, its totally different people, so i can wear the same dress again....

i absolutely positvely LOVEEEDDDDD it! they were the best! the food was delcious, the service was impecable, the banquest manager was a real sweetheart and my matri'd was awesome! i cant stop raving, neither can my guests about the service, the food, the cocktail hour, the venise!!!! amazing!!!! a+ !!!!! congrats....you're gunna love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking back, i wish i would have actually had my ceremony there too. It was a gorgeous day! I got so annoyed b/c my photographer never took me in the back at Villa so I have no pix and not alot of people know and realize how GORGEOUS the grounds are back there!!!!

oh yeah thats true. i never find a dress in a good amount of time....its like always at the last minuet....
im not WILD about those dresses, only b/c im a very very very picky person [i guess thats why im having a hard time] Estelle's usually has nice stuff, but I guess I'll wait til the spring stuff comes out there. I know Davids Bridals has some things too.......that aren't too bridesmaids looking

what styles are you looking for? strapless, halter, etc. and length? i'd agree with waiting a little bit until the summer styles come out, but if you figure out what looks best on you, it'll make shopping easier.

I'd check out BCBG Max Azria - they have some nice stuff....but I do think lord and Taylor carries a lot of their stuff...

I would def. go check out Estelles. I was there last week and they already have all the spring/summer dresses out. They stocked up for prom and graduation. Everything there is priced well and they have tonnnnns to choose from. GL

they already have the spring & summer styles??? wow! maybe i'll check them out then.
Im kinda picky, I guess. Like I love being a bridesmaids, and a long to the floor dress and very formal, but I dont want it to obviously look to bridesmaid-ish. I just never have any luck at Macys, Lord & taylor....
That last dress in tghe pic...that kind of dress will make me look preggo....I dunno why.....ive tried dresses on like rhat be4 and thats how they make me look...............hmmm........im def gunna check out estelles tmrw!!!

I honestly find dresses when I'm not even looking for them, because when I go 'dress shopping' specifically, I never find anything!
I was in J.C. Penney once trying to find a dress for our engagement party back in May, and I ended up finding a gorgeous dress for my cousin's evening wedding in August. It was too dressy for our engagement party, but I wasn't shopping for that event, and I found the perfect dress for it!
I say take a day, go to a mall, and check every department/clothing store they've got. You'd be surprised where you find the perfect dress!
