Need a florist...

What are some good florists in the area that aren't too expensive?

Also - about how much is an average price to spend on flowers all together?

And how much is an average price to spend per centerpiece?

I am not too sure where you are located but here are some good florists that are located in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk.

The total price for flowers truly depends on the quantity of your items. Your best bet is to really budget your costs, some people spend hundreds and some spend thousands. I am doing more candles than flowers, so my total budget was under $500. My total price for flowers for bouquets, bout, and corsages are $200. So really depends.

When I was looking to have high centerpieces I was quoted $110 for the branch centerpieces with hanging tea lights, and votive candles. When I wanted something more eleborate with a huge bouquet of flowers it came to be in the mid $220's per centerpiece. I didn't want to do this, so I lowered my budget.

I hope this helps.

Re: Need a florist...

Thank you I am in Lindenhurst, and am looking around the Nassau, western suffolk area. I was just quoted 140 per centerpiece (at around 20 tables), the quote came to about 5000, after bouquets, chuppah, ceremony flowers, cocktail hour candles, and centerpieces. I've only gone to one place so far. I am going to go to Burton's soon. I don't want to spend that much, but I don't want cheap looking flowers. The reception is at Chateau La Mer next October

Little Flower Shoppe of Lindenhurst

Argyle Flower Shoppe in Babylon

Tell them what you want to pay and have them work around it. You should be able to get tall centerpieces for $100 if you shop around.

I actually found the exact opposite with Bayview..I loved Marion and expressed how much I wanted to work with her over and over and she had changed so much of what I wanted and took things away rather than working with my budget...Hidden Essence works with your budget and gives you everything you want!
