You should also check out Starlight Express . The only thing is that they sort of require you to have a DJ & MC. But for ceremony, CH, and reception (no lights, giveaways, etc) it's $1795.

WOW! Thanks for all your responses! The consensus seems to be High Voltage and Music by Michael - ?!!? I will check them out.

Mag,

I am checking with a friend to see who she is using. They did not want the lights, smoke, etc. either and are being really specific about the type of music to play (mostly Rock) so I will let you know.

Definitly music by michael!!!! I saw high voltage at an e-party and I wasn't to crazy about them but maybe they weren't giving it thier best shot. Anyway, Michael is one of the few who will do what YOU want- I really would not recommend Tommy Tunes or some of the other ones listed for what your looking for.

Absolute entertainment! They are great and the price was a little over $1200 when I booked like 4 months ago.

We just used Music by Michael and we thought he was excellent, no bells and whistles but very classy and low-key.

We loved our DJ - Glenn Passarelli from WGJP Sounds. No lights, no smoke, no giveaways - just an excellent mix of music. He plays what you want and doesn't play what you don't want. And he doesn't make himself the center of attention. His phone number is 631-331-4114.

High Energy...Ralph is great, my sister had him for her wedding 2 months ago and he was great...didnt annoy the guest, just played good music and played all the songs she wanted him to play. My sister danced the whole night, as well as 75% of the guests! I am going to book Ralph today..casue i liked him so much. She got him for 5 hours for 900 dollars. They also do video too, starting at like 1500 i think!!

Vinny, High Volatage. He starts at 650 (though if you are like me you will probably be in the 800 range) His lights and smoke are optional so you don't have to pay for them.

albert lee music. www.albertleemusic.com My photographer recommended him and some girls on this board. My guests were pulling me over at the wedding to see how I found this DJ they loved him!
