Need a good glue and sealant.

I am trying to do mini pumpkins or gourds as my place card holder for my Fall wedding.

I saw this on Martha Stewart. So I bought the $$ glitter and some glue.

My project came out OK, but the glue wasn't good enough.

Can you suggest a glue that dries clear , is spreadable (with a brush) and strong?

Also, even though the glitter is dry it still gets on your hands. Does anyone know if Michael's sells a spray sealant?

This is getting complicated, but they are so pretty.

You could use a clear spray paint, that's what I'm using for my favors. There are a lot of glues that dry clear, it depends on what type of glue you are looking for. Crazy glue, glue stick, glue gun, elmers, gorills? Ask at the craft store they'll know.

in acmoore if u go to the wood working aisle they have lots of spray adhesives and special glues maybe one of those will work

Aleene's tacky glue works pretty well!

I would try Mod Podge. You can get it at AC Moore.

this is what i would suggest. it's strong, dries clear, and is also a sealant. i use it all the time for a million crafts and i swear by it.

It can also be used for anything. I would fill a pan with the glitter, paint the glue on with a brush, and roll the gourd around in the pan to get the glitter to stick to it. Rolling the gourd in the pan will press the glitter onto the gourd.
