FH's mother was friends with a man that loved his dog Flynn and would him and FMIL dog out to play all the time. This man passed away leaving his dog to his daughter who isn't a dog person. His daughter is looking for a good home for him so she doesn't have bring him to a shelter.
FH and I wish we could take him, but we can't have dogs in our building.
Flynn is trained with all his shots. He is a 7 year old Cattle dog.
Please help

Re: Need a good home for a great Dog
I wish I could but I already have a dog and my apartment just isn't big enough. Please don't let them put the dog down; if you can't find a home see if she will bring the dog to a shelter.

Put him down? What vet will euthanize a dog without cause? She can bring him to North Shore Animal League or another shelter. Sorry, I'm beside myself and cannot believe someone would even consider that!

I'm in agreement with the above posts. Please inform her of the other options before she does something terrible.

I agree with what your all saying.
I would really like to find a good home for home for him. His owner was so amazing to him and loved him more than anything.

Re: Need a good home for a great Dog
I updated to the post to say shelter.
I spoke to FH again and he said his mother would never let him get put down. Sorry for the mix up.
I dont know the daughter at all, but I know she needs a home for Flynn

Re: Need a good home for a great Dog
You should maybe try advertising in the newspaper or something. Putting a dog down is an absolute terrible thing, especially if it's just because it doesn't have a home. If the ad does not work I would call none kill shelters that would take him. North Shore Animal League, Kent... or even Little Shelter

I agree with what you are all saying that's why I posted on here hoping someone could take him. If I could I would. It breaks my heart.
I will tell FMIL to tell her to put something in the newspaper
