Need a hair stylist- inexpensive

Hey Ladies,

So as a gift for my mother in law on the day of the wedding my FH and I are getting her hair and make up done professionally. She lives in a house with all men and it will be nice for her to feel special and pampered that day. The problem is, I'm trying to find someone who will be out east that can do a simple up-do or blowout (she has very short, thin hair so its not going to be a complicated job). It really doesn't have to be a 'Wedding hair' person so I don't want to pay those prices unnecessarily. Anyone know a freelance hairstylist who travels on Sundays?

Why don't you bring her to a salon. That will be your best bet for a cheap price. Is there an Ulta near by? They have salons and usually only charge $30 for blowouts and only $30 for makeup.

I love the girl who is doing my hair and make-up. Her name is Ali and I couldn't recommend her more. However she charges what a typical wedding stylist charges. If you are looking for a cheaper way, you might want to contact Long Island Beauty school and see if there are any beauty school students that would do it for a fair price. I would suggest doing a personal trial as well before the big day. Students are the best way to get someone with training for less.
