Need a little help. My Fh and I got a phone call yesterday that we won a free DJ from In The Mix. We had met with them at a showcase at the Swan club.
Where I am a little torn is that we haven't even looked at DJ's yet so we have nothing to compare them to and on top of that we have to go meet with them next Tuesday.
Should I go for the deal or tell them I need some time to look around (if that is even an option)?

Shop around a couple more DJ's. Esp. if you are uncertian. We did that with photographers. We went to like 6 of them before we settled.

i think there was a post about in the mix on BHB a few days ago... good reviews. just do your homework and you can definitely add other things, maybe lights, plasmas, live singers in case you wanted something a little 'more' than just a DJ

I agree shop around I won stuff from a DJ and I am going with them, but I feel much more confident in my decision from checkin out others and seeing what they were offering... If you are meeting with them next week you can probably make it to a few other compnies before then if your sedule allows. If it does I would call them today to make appointments.
I had the same dilemma wasn't even prepared to being the DJ search until I won something.

i would look around first
i mean its great it free but the DJ is gonna be responsible for everyone getting up on the dancefloor and enjoying your wedding!!!! if your uncertain, listen to some others so youll feel more comfortable with your decision

it cant hurt to look at one or two before you go to in the mix...but uhhh hello!!! you won a dj!!! do you know how much money that will save you??!! lol i would definately go down there and meet with them to see how you like them, and book

we were going to use them bc we liked them, but then Fm entertainment popped up all over the boards, and gave us a great deal... if you won a package, i would def use them... im using a photog that i won that had absolutely no reviews on here... no need to look elsewhere imo... unless they totalllly dont fit what you're going for or if you just dont click well
