Need a Photographer/Videographer

We went to see Artisan last night and were very impressed. They are expensive, but they do great work. We have an appointment with Duet on monday. Any other recommendations. We want a plce that deos both photo & video. I know there are a lot of photographers out there, but I just wanted to get some feedback.

We booked Marco- it was a bit expensive but my 2 FSIL's used them and the work was impressive! I didn't really look elsewhere.

We also booked with Duet which I think is the best thing since sliced bread. But I would also try Patken and Perceptions. They both have excellent work.

Re: Need a Photographer/Videographer

I booked with Artisan and really shopped around for the Best Quality & Style for a Fair price, I also wanted both video and photo from one vendor. I saw tons of vendors and some were very pricey and some were more moderate - but those I felt the style was not as polished or impressive with a combination of photojournalism and traditional. You can FM me to talk about specific vendors that you plan on seeing etc for my impression of course it's all a matter of personal taste, you will see other brides who love certain photographers that you may not be impressed with. Anyway, Duet is a top contender, I saw them, but they didn't have my date available. My friend who is getting married in 2005 was very torn between Duet and Artisan - Chuck is Great, very nice personality and more exclusive - he is the photographer at the wedding. As far as prices - when you shop around keep Artisan in mind, and maybe they can do something about adjusting things to be more in your budget. He was very fair with me, I didn't want to spend $5000 for photo, I am working with a Budget.

Check out Bart Stevens in East Northport. I just met w/ him yesterday and his work is beautiful. I know someone mentioned Marco (I met w/ someone in his studio) but you may want to check out the BBB website before or after checking out his work. It's probably a good idea to do that with any vendor actually. Another photographer to try is Duval in Wantagh. They do beautiful work and I thought they were very reasonably priced. Good luck!

Re: Need a Photographer/Videographer

I went with a separate vendor for photo and video.

Mark Kaufman - great photojournalistic style, and we were able to get a package that didn't kill our bank account

Wild Rose - booked solely on recs from brides here and also I was able to get what I wanted without spending a fortune
