My MOH has a strapless dress....does she HAVE to wear a shawl??????? Is this nessesary? She really doesnt want to.....

I hope thats not true, I have a strapless dress and was not told that. I remember being to a wedding of someone who had a strapless gown and was fine... that was a catholic church

Call the church and ask them...I have a strapless dress and am getting married in a catholic church

most churches will let you wear strapless gowns, however, I know one which def won't...it might be best to check with the church you're getting married at if that is a rule or not.

I would love to see that one! I am not asking and just doing it...I don't want to deal with a shawl during the ceremony...to top it off all my BMs are wearing strapless too.

Call the church-mine is fine with strapless-but I've heard other catholic churches don't allow this. Good luck.

Kim, its totally up to the church, most these days will allow it. Mine was more concerned w/ very revealing dresses...

I wore strapless & my MOH did...We got married in a Catholic church...Call the church to make sure!!!

As far as I know, that is 'old school' and they longer comment on it. Just to be safe, call the church.

It's up to the comfortability of the girl. I've seen both styles worn. It's really up to you! As long as nothing is popping out, the Church shouldn't have a problem!
