I would just do your best to be nice, but don’t go out your way for her. You don’t need your FSIL to cause aggravation within the family.
I'm sad that I'm not getting one (4 fbil). I would try for a while, if she suks she suks not much you can do..
I'm surprised too that everyone is saying don't bother. We're not talking about an aquaintence here this is your FH's sister. Not that it should matter, but is she younger or older then you? I would at least make an effort and if it doesn't work out at least you can say you tried and come out of it looking like the bigger person. She is going to be a part of your life for a long time and why have it be weird if it doesn't have to be. JMO
I wouldnt be nasty to her- but then I wouldnt be overly friendly. I would probably treat her like I do most of my coworkers- Hi and goodbye
I'm not that close with my SIL now - I am amicable and Fakey McFakerson. No need to start drama, but no need to be BBFF either, you know?
