Re: NEED A RESTAURANT

there is a REALLY good mexican restaurant on 79th between 2nd and 3rd called santa fe. it's on the south side of 79th and it is SOOOOOOOOOO good. and monday night they have half price fajitas. their steak fajitas are the best i have ever had anywhere.

but it's pretty small. if this is for a party it might not be what you're looking for.

if you need something larger, there is another mexican restaraunt around the corner called MaryAnn's (you might have heard of it, it's a chain). it's on 2nd Ave between 78th and 79th. in my opinion it's not AS good, but it's still pretty good and is bigger if you need the space.

Santa Fe is good. But small....

Rosa Mexicano is fantastic but $$

I found a REALLY awesome funky place (their chandeliers are made out of corona bottles and their walls are covered in tin ornaments - super cool) on 9th and 54th called El Centro (Hells Kicthen). It's SUPER fun and the food is great!

el centro

OOOOH OOOH! I just remembered my favorite local restaurant!!!!!!

If you wanna do something more 'sex and the cityesque' check out this place called Citrus on 75th and Amsterdam. It's a mexican-asian fusion restaurant (with a full sushi bar). The food is FANTASTIC, the people are beautiful, and the margaritas and mojitos are KILLER! We used to go there alllllllll the time. Fanttttttastic.

Citrus

Man, I wanna be back in nyc

And whenever youre in the mood for cuban try cabana, theres one on austin street in forest hills...and theres two in the city, one on 3rd ave between 61st and 62nd, and at the seaport and you can eat outside there. I LOOOOVE their food...way better than Son cubano and thats the trendy, hip big named cuban place in the meat packing district,-nice place though just the food wasnt all that
