I would like a country song to dance with my step-father (he like country music). It doesn't have to be mushy or slow, it can be an upbeat kind of song. I am going crazy trying to find one...I don't want to dance to the typical daddy's little girl. Since I have 2 dads and I am not 'daddy's little girl' I wanted to find 2 different songs to dance with my 2 dads....

I don't really know much about country music. But what about that song from Lee ann Wormack 'I hope you dance'

Re: Need a song....
The Tim/Faith songs are too love songish - IMO. I agree w/I Hope You Dance....I used it to dance w/my stepDad at my wedding, and it was very sweet and very fitting for the day.

Re: Need a song....
I think I decided on Just to make you smile by Toby Keith. Its not meant to be a father-daughter song but I like the words. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!!

Re: Need a song....
I think you mean Tim McGraw!!
Just To See You Smile
You always had an eye for things that glittered But I was far from bein' made of gold I don't know how but I scraped up the money I just never could quite tell you no Just like when you were leavin' Amarillo Takina that new job in Tennessee And I quit mine so we could be together I can't forget the way you looked at me
Just to see you smile I'd do anything That you wanted me to And all is said and done I'd never count the cost It's worth all that's lost Just to see you smile
When you said time was all you really needed I walked away and let you have your space Cuz leavin' didn't hurt me near as badly As the tears I saw rollin' down your face And yesterday I knew just what you wanted When you came walkin' up to me with him So I told you that I was happy for you And given the chance Iad lie again
Just to see you smile I'd do anything That you wanted me to And all is said and done I'd never count the cost It's worth all that's lost Just to see you smile
I'd do anything That you wanted me to And all is said and done I'd never count the cost I'ts worth all that's lost Just to see you smile

That's it Tracy, thanks for the correction. I must have Toby Keith on the brain...
