FH and I were talking last night about how we really really want to go away this summer. I know it's not very smart while we're saving up for the wedding, but I feel like it's the only way we'll keep our sanity!
Anyone know of any affordable all inclusive places where we can go for like 5 days for under $2,000?

My FH and I are going on August to Miami Beach.. Stain at a 4Stars Hotel.... Going from Monday to Saturday. Plane Tickets & Hotel was $938!!!! Plus our expenses (we will get the Miami go card which is like 130 per person for 3 days!!!!) We will def spend around $1600!!!! =)

i feel the same way, but i honestly cannot afford it. on the other hand mentally i cant afford not to go.

ITA. FH and I didn't go on Vaca last year to save for our house...now I don't know how we're going to go this year saving for our wedding!
He really wants to go to Portugal so I can meet his extended family. That's so expensive!!
If you can swing $2000, look into carribean like jamaica or bahamas. And have fun!!

Grand Palladium - i think it's in Montego Bay - the resort opened up about 2 years ago and a lot of customer complained but they renovated before we went so FH and I had no complaints - everything was in good condition - we had a great time! Plus, some people are just SOOOOOOOOOOO picky

Grand Palladium - i think it's in Montego Bay - the resort opened up about 2 years ago and a lot of customer complained but they renovated before we went so FH and I had no complaints - everything was in good condition - we had a great time! Plus, some people are just SOOOOOOOOOOO picky
ooo we stayed in the same place!!! yea, i read a lot of picky reviews there. I mean, the place wasn't the best in the world, but i thought the dinners/drinks were really great!!!! The beaches, ehhh, could be better, but good enough...the only thing is its in lucea and its the only resort around there, so if you want to do a lot of excursions, its a lil out of the way. We went to negril once, but other than that, we just wanted to lay on the beach, so it was good except it rained a lot The rooms are awesome! We upgraded to a one bdrm suite and didn't pay for ocean view, but got an unbelievable room directly facing the water! def check it out!

Yea FH and I were hesistant at first but we stayed at another place in Jamaica 2 yrs before that and we knew this place was going to be way better. We're not picky vacationers - we just want to go and relax. and for $1800 it's a steal!

mexico, pr or dr are always great all inclusive places that are quite affordable.
check out cheap caribbean, they always have some great deals there.

You def can in either Mexico, Jamaica, or DR. Like the other girls said, check out cheapcaribbean.com. They always have really good deals.
Wish FH and I could afford a vacay!

Just checked out Cheap Carribean and I saw the Grand Palladium, and the price is great. There seems to be two of them, which one did you stay at?
We aren't looking for anything super fancy, just a nice place where we can lay by the pool/beach all day and drink fruity drinks!!!

we stayed in the lady hamilton...they make it seem like 2 resorts, but its really just one HUGE resort. I think the lady hamilton side is more adults, so thats why we chose that one.
overall, for the price its really great. like anything else, there are pros and cons, but like evita said, the reviews of the place are soooo picky! I mean, you're on vacation and some of these ppl were just nitpicking every detail! I'm not an experienced traveler and I'm not really picky so we liked it there.
pros amazing room with AMAZING view (upgrade to the 1 bdrm, the upgrade wasn't a lot of money at all). just ask to be close to the center of the resort. Its reallyyyyyyy big, so if you're in one of the further villas, its a long walk to eat dinners were GREAT! lunch/bfast buffets were good drinks were delish good entertainment at night, good, live music near most of the bars and there are a bunch of bars to hang out near best massage EVERRRRR, FH and I were just talking about it last night and we went last june lol
cons since its a little out of the way (its halfway btwn montego bay & negril), the ppl were a little rude. I dont know if they're not used to dealing with tourists, but some of them were a lil nasty. Others tho, were VERY nice, so I guess it just depends also, since its out of the way, the excursions are far. I think it took us almost an hour to get to negril i think the beaches are man-made. some of them are really rocky in parts so that was kind of a downer

Thanks so much! We're not really looking for excurions, so it wouldn't be a big deal that it's kinda far.
I'm going to look it over with FH tonight and hopefully book it!!
You booked through cheap carribean? I just want to make sure it's reputable site..
