I always book through expedia b/c it includes taxes and service charges to the price per the site is as is. and if the prices drop w/in 48 hours, they do price adjustment.
BTW, if you dont like the beach, their pool is pretty sick! they fixed it up so there arent any lose tiles (most of ppl's complaints) and if you tell the bartenders to make your drinks 'serious', it's no joke - FH and I got wasted our first day there...HA

You booked through cheap carribean? I just want to make sure it's reputable site..
Also, how far of a ride is it from the air port?
the ride felt like 30-45 minutes.

yea, we booked thru cheap caribbean. I booked a trip to DR thru them in 2006 also and everything was really smooth and easy. You can even set up all the transfer to/from the airport so its great.
i think it was about a 45min ride from the airport. On the way back it took us a reallllly long time tho since there was lot of construction going on, but we left the resort prob about 3 hours before our flight, so everything was ok. I remember that we didn't think we needed to leave the resort that early to catch our flight, but they knew what they were talking about!

haha yea their drinks are gooooood!!!!!! bring a thermos so u dont have to get up for refills all the time, i saw ppl with them and i was so jealous lol

oh right!! forgot bout that. it's a must! b/c their cups are small and it gets annoying to walk from the beach to the bar after a while
