I went for a food tasting at my hall with my FH and my father. I was so disappointed. My father said if I hadn't already booked the hall, he would have told me not to book it. The service was great and the place is beautiful but the food was just OK. FH says he understands the food is important but he would rather have OK food and a really nice place. I want both. To me the cocktail hour food is so important. I am so upset, I gave myself a stress headache and I am thinking about looking at other halls. What should I do?

It might just have been a bad day for them. I would rebook the tasting and tell the BM your concerns.

Re: Need advice
I agree go back and tell them what you think about the food. They should be able to handle constructive criticism.

Re: Need advice
do they have more than one chef? find out what staff was working the day of your tasting - perhaps if they have more than one chef you can have a tasting when the other one is on and compare.

Re: Need advice
My contract says that I agree to pay for the site upon taste tasting. so that if I don't like the food I can still get out. I would check you contract.
