Ok so one of my girlfriends - well, she's a bit on the pushy side (sometimes, says things that ur like 'huh') but that's just her. Well, we were out at dinner and I was telling someone else that I will just have family in my bridal party and she turned around & said that she would be offended if I didnt have her in it...I ended up feeling bad, and officially asking her some weeks later... But, now I'm having serious doubts - talking w/ my mom and some others - I shouldnt feel pressured to have someone that I didnt want in it, right? So, now I want to break it to her that I'm just having family in my bridal party & besides, my fiancee doesnt have enough guys and we want to make it even.... Does ne one have any advice as far as how I break it to her? I'm like ahhhhhh

Re: Need advice..
Dont put her in because she said that you have to!! That is not fair to you. Although you have already asked her, you should talk to her and get it out on the table, and explain that you really just want to leave it to family.

Why exactly don't you want to have her in it? Do you think she'll cause trouble...if not, have you considered asking FH to add someone to his party, does he have another friend that could stand in? If you are completely against having her in it, then you could say something to her like: 'I would really love for you to be in my bridal party but I have to have my family in it and FH doesn't have an extra friend to add to his side and we want our BP to be even.' How do you think she'd react to that..

I used to be closer w/ her but she just drives me crazy...way too neurotic - I think she'd drive everyone crazy.

I would put her in it, if you are that uncomfortable. I wouldnt replace her either. I would stick with your origional plan of family only. JMO

Well then just tell her you love her but you don't want to piss off your family by replacing one of them with her...

I have a friend like this too, honestly, if she's so blunt with you I think you should be blunt with her, you asked her because you felt pressured but you thought it over and your only having family in the bridal party. You can even tell her it's because you want to be fair to all your friends (which is probably the truth). She can't be mad at you forever and if she is, is this really a friend you'd like to keep?

Re: Need advice..
that's tough, i have 2 friends i would have liked to have in, ended up going w family, and one of the friends is really upset about it.
i'm sorry, i don't know what to tell you, but whatever you decide will be the right thing. if you don't want her to be in, then you should tell her. she might be really offended at first, but if she's a good friend she will understand.

JMO: Bridal parties to me are meant for close family and friends....if you have even the tiniest doubt about someone being in it, don't do it. I only want those who are near and dear to me in mine. you don't need that stress!
