do you think its crazy to have 2 different photographers shoot your day.. meaning 2 different companies? like 1 photographer from one company and then the other photgrapher from another company? is it a waste of money? I feel like i want variety.. any advice?

Re: need advice
I think it would be too much. Also, many professional photographers have an exclusive clause in their contracts which would not allow for another photographer. Judging from the epic photo shoots, I couldn't even imagine having another photographer there unless you just wanted that person for candid shots.

Re: need advice
look for companies that offer what you want. i would not hire two separate companies. they will both be competing for shots and it might not be good
what are you looking for?
check out 12th night...its a mix of photojournalism and traditional.

I woudn't do it... I could see the companies getting very competitive and you don't need a photog brawl in the middle of your dancefloor.

Re: need advice
i think it depends-i know a lot of independent photographers are very willing to shoot with dif. people-springsandra just use 2 dif. photographers for her wedding and it came out amazing

Re: need advice
I would not do that I had asked my photographer the same question cause I had liked anothers prices better and he said he will not work with another company so he gave me the same price I think it would get stressful and just not a good idea in my eyes

ITA!!! That's what I would suggest-same company, two different style photogs.

I don't think it is a good idea... I have heard that photographers will compete with one another trying to get the best shot and it will hurt you in the end.

Re: need advice
I wouldn't do that...plus check with your photographer if your going to because I know that my photographer already made very clear that there are to be no other professional photographers around- it would compromise how his work comes out, which makes sense I mean who will shoot you first?

Re: need advice
I agree with the other girls - it would be too much. Maybe look for another company that gives you what you want. Good Luck.

I agree with the girls who said it would be too much. I think it will get crazy. Plus, they might have the same ideas of what to shoot, and then you'll just wind up with all the same pics, instead of a braoder range of different pics.

Re: need advice
I like having 2 photogs, but I don't know if they'd go for it if they're not from the same company. Maybe a more independent photog will allow it but I doubt the big name companies will be game
