if you think that you can financially do it without stressing about coming up with the rest of the money (even if its $4500 less) then i say GO FOR IT!! but if you think it will be hard for you $$ wise (to come up with the money in 8 mths) then i say wait.....its up to how you and FH feel....and hey if the place is willing to cut some costs, maybe they can throw in a free ice sculpture or something too LOL they are quiet that season so they are happy to be booked!

I agreew 100% with you girls as well. As far as my school schedule which demanding, I can plan the majority of it during this summer. As of right now, we have the full payment of the whole hall to payoff. The photography is free, wedding gift from uncle. But the majority of the vendors are family related business owners so that won't be crazy money. We are having an engagement party on June 4th which is hopefully going to give us some money!

I know we can afford it in time. I even called the church to see if we have availability and we DO! I am going to confirm the wedding date I hope by this weekend. I have spoken to the manager by then to see the costs and hopefully I will be saving lots of $$$ =)))

I am going to ask for some addons as some of you are saying, I'd like a CHOCOLATE fondue for my mom & FMIL as a surprise! I hope my requests are granted!

$4500 is a lot so if you want to move it up, def do so b/c time really shouldnt be an issue.

I would say the only con is that March the weather is still very iffy v. November but if that doesnt matter then make the switch!

also what just came to my mind, since you are actually doing the hall a favor by taking a date they needed to fill. they will be able to help you with anything you need also.

your paying them, use them for everything you need to make your life easier!


when we booked our hall in jan, our BM actually offered us a great deal for this past april 1st (2011) my head almost spun when i tried to imagine planning a wedding in 3 months, but they wanted us to take the date off their hands so badly they were even offering to go dress shopping with me and help with any and everything we needed to pull it off.

so im sure if you booked the date and said it would be hard to get it all done sooner then you were planning they would do anything to help.

And March is still slow so vendors won't be booked solid for the new date.

: Mara is right though, for some reason I feel Spring weather is nicer than Fall weather. Maybe is the longer days and the fact we're getting out of cold winters...

My friend got married on 3/31...it was a beautiful day but FREEZING and she wanted a lot of pics outside, when you look at the pics you can't tell how cold it was because it was so nice and sunny.
