Need advice

Need advice

I wanted to have 3 hours planned for wedding photos before my ceremony. I am so nervous that things will be rushed.. I want to have more time then not enough. My photographer said it is a bad idea because the bridal party and myself will get very tired. I was thinking the 3 hours would account for breaks (it is August and we might need to cool off). What do you think?

Three hours is alot of time, does that include traveling somewhere for photos? The photographer works pretty quickly, the group photos may take about a half hour max, your photos might take up to an hour depending on what you want to do and if you need to walk somewhere.

I haven't decided if I want to travel to another location first. For some reason I thought they would take longer.

If u arent traveling to another location for pix then yes I may feel that will be too much time. Although I totally understand not wanting to feel rushed. If u are traveling then Id say give yourself about 1.5 hrs for pix and depending on how far away u are from your RH give yourself enough travel time.

I think once you know exactly what your doing and where u are going that day u will get more of an idea of how much time you'll need. Once u have that figured out, sit down with your photog and see what they recommend is enough time. Then if anything u can add on another 1/2 hour or so to be on the safe side.

IMO, that's a lot of time for pics. My sister had a 3 1/2 hour gap in between her church and reception and we took pictures THE WHOLE TIME. It was raining so that kinda made it worse, but we were up at 7am for hair and make up, went right to the church, then all that time for pics- by the time we got to the reception we were exhausted.

I think that's pretty tiring... My photographer scheduled 2 hours for photos, and that's only half an hour of bridal party, half of families, half for just us, so at least the friends and families will get breaks.
I was just a bridesmaid last summer and I remember how hot and tiring it can be. If there is a place for people to sit and drink while they are waiting it will be ok though.

Also, ps - I love your Disney photo, it's just about one of my favorite places in the world and my first trip I can remember wasn't until I was 22. Everytime I think about it I wan to go again!

Aww, she's adorable! I can see her showing sass in the picture!
I had a bunny (my first pet!) from when I was in 3rd grade until I was in 9th grade.... I loved her, she had so much patience with me-I dressed her up ALL the time! hahaha

Thanks! I am obsessed with Disney! I hadn't been there since I was 6 & I went twice with my fiance' in 2011! Unfortunately we won't be going this year for obvious (wedding-saving) reasons haha.... but we're thinking about it for our honeymoon!
We had gone right after we got engaged and wore the 'Just engaged' pins & we got so much extra fun attention from the characters & cast members!
My favorite was in one of the parades, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother saw our pins & had this glitter gun thing & she congratulated us from her float & poofed us with glitter, it was amazing!
Maybe you can convince your fiance' to go on your honeymoon!

I agree... but I Aldo think you should do what you're comfortable with. You don't want to feel pressured or stressed out.

That's awesome!! We just went last summer... We were thinking of going to au'lani for the honeymoon because it's disney -ish but still tropical, but i've been reading mixed reviews on it. =( We've been to Disney like 3 times together!
Ok I'm done hijacking this thread with Disney now LOL
