so I included our wedding website on our save the date, which has accommodation information.
But I know that some people are not tech-savvy. Do I need to include an insert in the invitation for hotel information? Or can I get away with just putting our wedding website (again) on the response card?
Thanks

I would put inserts in the invitation b/c you always have some old folks who know nothing of computers

Re: Need advice about invitation inserts
i would still include another insert- i had a website on my save the date and people still didn't get it. Plus, if you are just going to put in the rsvp card, they will be sending that back to you, so they will no longer have it once they do.....
i combined the directions to the place with the hotel accommodations on one card...

IMO, I would include it just to be sure everyone has it. People misplace things or just throw them out sometimes. Now that they have to say whether they are attending or not, they kind of need the hotel info right there in front of them so they can book their rooms.

IMHO, I don't think a Web link looks good on a response card.
Yes, include an insert with the hotel information. Print it out on cardstock or thick text weight paper if you want it to look fancy. It will provide the necessary information for those who are not tech savvy and even for those who are, it will serve as an additional source of info. Include the Web link on the insert.
In summary, get the information to your guests in as many different contact points as necessary so it's easy for them.

Could I just put in accommodation cards that I got from the hotels in the invitation? Or is that tacky?
I have no idea how these things work.

Not tacky necessarily, but how many hotels do you have? Does the RH also have its own direction cards? I think it's more of a convenience issue--if there are multiple slips of paper from each hotel and the RH, it just makes it harder for the guest to keep track of.

Re: Need advice about invitation inserts
i think its up to you....some people will even print their own menus and table numbers although they are provided by their venue. IMO i always think it looks nicer to have everything coordinated, and if you have time and patience to do it, you can create a quick and easy insert to add to your invite.

Re: Need advice about invitation inserts
I would create an insert, but I don't think it needs to match the invites as long as it looks nice...I just got an invite that had invite & rsvp matching, and then they made a directions/accomodations card themselves and that was fine. it was cute, and it's more of the nitty gritty details, so I personally didn't mind that it wasn't matchy matchy....but that might just be my personality!

I would probably put another insert....esp if you're going to have a lot of out of towners...

I'm just going to have the invite company make an insert.
