NEED ADVICE - Cancelled shower update....
Ok please what would you do?
My shower was supposed to be on Sunday - we cancelled due to the weather. Now, I can re-schedule for this weekend, but will lose a few people in the process because of the short notice. I can't do the weekend after because I have another party. And then we are at Christmas. My due date is January 25th, and I really dont' want to do it in January because I feel like it's too close.....is it though?
Should I just do it this weekend and lose a few people? Should I do it in the beginning of January? Should I just skip it all together and just have a nice Christening party (which I was going to do anyway....)
I dont' know what to do. I mean, gifts have been purchased for me....I just don't know what is appropriate? Any help would be appreciated and FAST! I need to let the restaurant know.
(I lose around $400 if I cancel )
ETA:
Update as of this afternoon: We are going ahead with it on Sunday - we lose about 10 people, but the restaurant was able to give me a smaller room and I only have to guarantee 25 people so it should be okay. I am bummed my mom wont' be there, but my sisters will be and I am sure it will be lovely. I really didnt' want baby's Bella's first party to be cancelled! (oh hey!!! I just called her Bella!!!!!.....interesting.....)
Thanks for all your advice, and for listening to me moan. I kind of got grumpy pants on about this and just hate parties for me and get all weird, but I feel a lot better and my DH family is so into it - they are very cute. I;ll let you know how it all turns out in the end!
