I already posted this to BHB so if you read it and replied, I apologize for the repeat post.
This is the situation. There is a 2 week course I'm dying to take....in Virginia. It ends July 27, My wedding is August 4th. Am I completely out of my mind to consider this? The ladies on BHB think it's definitely doable. This course is super-important to me- I know if I took it locally it would virtually be a waste of money, and if I go to VA, it would be soo much more satisfying- almost life-changing! (can you imagine that? Music teachers are crazy what can I say?)
So...my question is: what should I expect my life to be in the months before my wedding? Would I be able to get big things done before I leave on July 20th? Would I be losing my mind down in VA wondering what more I need to do? Or can I get big things out of the way, and tie them up when I come back, a week before my wedding? My family is my BP so I know they can help out alot. But I wanted to hear what your experiences were in the weeks before the wedding- what did you have to wrap up? What appointments did you have to make?
Thank you soooo much!

Re: Need advice from you married ladies...
It will be CRAZY rough/stressful to do this, but I believe in following your passions...you should do it....but I STRONGLY suggest taht you have EVERY detail of you wedding DONE before the program begins so that when you are back, you are simply going for one last fitting and dropping things off and enjoying the last week!

COuld not agree more, if you had all of your final meetings done, and everything completely organized, then you should really not have any problems at all..

Re: Need advice from you married ladies...
JMO...but I think youd be crazy not to do this if it means that much to you. For my wedding, my mother took off the whole week thinking we'd so sooooo busy. Personally, I think its a myth b/c all my vendors called me on the 6th( I got married the 8th)...I did final drop off on the 6th....and did RD the 7th. Just the 6 and the 7th were busy for me, the rest of the week I just chilled.
IMO, I think people get WAY TOO CRAZY about weddings for nothing...its one day and it goes so fast that in retrospect, I believe youll end up regretting giving up this course for something that was hyped up to be more chaotic then it ever really is.

Re: Need advice from you married ladies...
Just a little advice from my end:
The week before my wedding was very relaxing. I dropped off my things at the hall 1 week before my wedding, and I didn't have much to worry about, except for my final fitting and confirmation with vendors.
BUT, the month before my wedding WAS very stressful. There were centain projects that I couldn't finish until I had an accurate headcount, and knew exactly who was coming to my wedding. Things like table names, placecards, favors, etc. There were other things like organizing all my wedding things so I didn't forget anything, and working on my ceremony (we got married by a judge who let us customize our ceremony). So there were definitely things to do. If you're not going the DIY route it is easier. These are just some things to think about. If you can have someone at home to help with these things, then it is a lit easier.

I know that I personally would not be able to handle this....looking back on the 2 weeks before my wedding...I was a raving lunatic and totally stressed I would not have been able to add something else into the mix...but thats just me
