Need advice on bridal party situation
i need some help ladies. So I originally had 6 bridesmaids (2 maid of honors and 4 bridesmaids). my fiance has 9 (2 best men, 6 groomsmen and 1 jr). As of today, due to circumstances with my future brother in law breaking up with his girlfriend, i now have 3 bridesmaids (silly me should have never though to ask the girlfriend to begin with). I dont know what to do. I also have 2 flower girls and 1 ring boy. The plan is to have the flower girls walk together with the ring boy, as long as the ring boy can behave and do so without running down the aisle. My plan since my fiance has so many guys was to have 2 guys walk down with each bridesmaid. Now that i have one less bridesmaid, i have one extra guy. What do i do with him? I unfortunately dont have a jr bridesmaid to walk down with my cousin who is the jr groomsmen. My jr groomsmen is a bit shy so i feel bad having him walk alone. I'm just trying to figure out what i should do because im thinking of how they would walk into the church and the reception. I also feel bad asking any of my other friends to be a replacement with 5 months left until the wedding. I need some ideas, please help ladies :(

I'm so sorry this definitely sucks. Unfortunately it happens all the time. It happened to my cousin within weeks of her wedding and to one of my coworkers too. Thankfully in the end everything does work out and just remember this day is about you and your fiance. That's it. Lets begin with the little ones. My son was my ring bearer and he's 5. The flower girl was his little cousin who is 3. Thankfully they both did so well that day. We did have the whole bridal party ready to assist should the kids become distracted or scared while walking in to both the ceremony and reception. What I did was buy the kids books as part of their thank you gifts about being a special FG/RB. I read it to my son and my husbands aunt to her daughter. That helped us explain to the kids how the wedding day would go and it kept the kids excited about their involvement with the wedding. (My son also did not carry the rings, instead he had a sign that had a special message for us. Just didn't want to risk him running off with our wedding bands LOL). We also practiced once with them before the rehearsal dinner. I would suggest if you have some time to rehearse with them you should. And of course at the rehearsal they can see what they will do which also helps. The JR Groomsmen - is there a reader or grandmother who is walking alone who could be escorted by him? Who technically is not in the bridal party but involved in the ceremony or something? That might be an idea. The idea of 2 groomsmen per BM is perfectly normal now a days. A lot of people do it. I wish I had better ideas to give to you, I hope I have been of some help. Good luck! 5 MONTHS fly but I am sure whatever you decide will work perfectly on the day of.Welcome New Vendors
