I want to buy a rug and some throw pillows for my living room. I'm horrible with interior design. I would really appreciate your advice. Would these even look nice?? If not can you give me any suggestions. Thanks!!

I think I like the second rug if you're going to get those pillows. The first rug is very similar to the pillows, but the second one is different enough, but has coordinating colors. JMO!

i really like the second rug too.. you could maybe pull one of those colors from the rug and find matching throw pillows if you don't wanna use the first pillows with the second rug.. hth!

I like the first rug better, but not with those pillows. They look too similar but yet different enough so it looks like you were trying to match but couldn't. I would go with the first rug and get pillows similar to the pattern on the second rug.

i love the pillows....i think u could get away with the first rug because the couch is very plain & neutral which throws in a good balance, or ...i like rug #2 but i think the stripes are a little too modern for the pillows...try to find something a LITTLE more solid?????? i dont know if that helped or if i just confused u more!

I like how the design of the pillow matches the design of the first rug. But I wonder if getting a darker color would look nice too b/c it would stand out more from the beige sofa and would make your eyes go right to the pillow and rug? Unless you're going for a more blended look, then I think these colors would definitely work well. The pattern even has some beige in it to pick up the beige in the sofa.
ETA: I must be colorblind.......is that green and not beige? either way, green looks nice too with beige! ugg, i'm not much help am i!

I love what you picked out, but with your neutral color couches, I 'd use the throw rug and pillows as an opportunity to add some color to the room. Adding even more neutral could make the room a little bit 'blah.'
You could do almost any color(s) with the set up you have. If you want to keep it on the more neutral / conservative side, you can do dark/deep colors like navy.
You can pretty much do whatever you want with your couches!
